The business problem
Enquiries arrived through several channels, while quotations could lose momentum after first contact. Different electrical jobs needed different information before the business could decide the right next step.
My contribution
I worked on a multichannel qualification and quote-progression approach. The earlier engagement record covers enquiries for rewires, electrical installation condition reports, consumer-unit upgrades and EV charger installations. The focus was moving the work towards a clear decision.
Gather the information the next person needs
Qualification connects an enquiry to the scope of the work. In this engagement, the design covered incoming demand across phone, WhatsApp and web, with different job types progressing towards an appropriate next action.
Make quotation progression part of the workflow
The work extended beyond the first response. It addressed how an enquiry progressed through quotation towards a booking decision, so the sales conversation did not become disconnected from the operational process.
What was delivered
- A multichannel enquiry-qualification approach
- Quotation progression for different electrical job types
- Defined next actions towards a booking decision
Results and scope
The work covered how incoming enquiries were qualified and progressed towards a quotation and booking decision across three channels.
Evidence note
Earlier project. No booking, revenue or profit gains are claimed for it.
Facing a similar problem?
For an electrical-business owner or operations lead, the issue is whether the next person has enough information to act. CJAI can review the questions, handovers and system changes that would help your office manage those enquiries.
