The business problem

Preparing a quote and progressing it to a decision were not sufficiently connected. Work could sit between the job-management system and the sales process, leaving the team without a clear view of the next follow-up.

My contribution

My contribution covered a quoting tool connected to ServiceM8, a sales pipeline and follow-up tracking. That tied quotation preparation to the sequence of decisions that comes after it.

Start where the job information lives

The quotation workflow was connected to ServiceM8, the system already used for the work. That kept the design grounded in the business’s operating context rather than treating quotation preparation as a separate activity.

Connect preparation to progression

A prepared quote still needs a next action. Pipeline and follow-up tracking connected that output to the sales process. The useful unit of work was the route towards a decision, rather than the document alone.

What was delivered

  • Quoting work connected to ServiceM8
  • A sales pipeline behind the quotation process
  • Follow-up tracking within the workflow

Results and scope

The recorded work covered a quoting tool connected to ServiceM8, a sales pipeline and follow-up tracking.

Evidence note

Earlier project. No quote turnaround or acceptance figures are claimed, and compatibility is checked for each new project.

Facing a similar problem?

For a trades owner or MD, the concern is what happens after a quote leaves the office. CJAI can review how you track its status, assign follow-up and decide whether your existing systems need to be connected or changed.
